Audio 2

This is from the audio on the Donald Judd exhibit at MoMA

Make art from the ordinary
Stuck into the middle
here is a different experience than I had before
Color, materials and space
Incredibly rich, because they say so much
Both viewable and hidden at the same time
include other people in your experience
It is asking for you to have an engagement with it
As you look at it you see movement
At one end of the temporal spectrum, feeling
the space in between
it's quite full of joy and exuberance
That didn't involve any romantic association with genius or creativity
Into how to be a person in this world

Audio MoMA

The lines are from the audio at MoMA from various paintings

It's like a beautiful nightmare
A beautiful blue sky and a calm horizon
In alternative realities, things that looked so real
A very controlled accident
An image of rebellion and personal transformation
What is it that we are loved for
Meditations on the transience of life
A claustrophobic erotic atmosphere
Luxury, calm and voluptuousness
It isn't necessarily a wonderful place to be
Forces of strength, ...the supernatural power
An enormous amount of control
Emphasizing the humanness
You don't believe in anything
To breathe and be alive.
Be alive is the point

Was I Born to Love?

Was I born to love

Or is it just an illusion

I want to be touched

And when that comes

I drown in a sea of confusion.

Who am I, what do I want?

Only questions seem to appear.

Where is the love I thought was mine?

They are only memories in the dawn

I want…I don’t get

They want…I can’t give.

Will the right paths ever cross

To cover my soul

 like early morning moss

I sit and wait, afraid

NO action

Getting no satisfaction

I want what I want

And look for distractions

For self destruction

Was I born to love

Or is it only an illusion

I sit and wait

And find disillusion

An African Room

An African Room

We met in June

in an African room

Our bodies met in an

infinite embrace.

I was alive, a bit on fire

You called me earth,

I felt unnerved.

I though, how great,

What a wonderful date

I found a soulmate

Who knew not his fate.

But we both feared

The unknown of being hurt

You disappeared,

Boy what a jerk.

But I succumbed,

Had some more fun

This isn’t for me

I want one on one.

Peace

Peace
Silence
Peace of mind.
Breath
Slowly fills your lungs.
Listen,
Silence.
Air
Invisible source of life
Sky – magnificent, majestic.
Anger
An illusion
Anger
War.

We are searching
For a place
A city, a state
The earth
Universe
Where is it?
Where are we?
What are we?
NOTHING,
But love,
Goodness, greatness
Majestic
Part of Everything.
Everyone
Searching
Peace
Peace of mind

Seeking perfection
Good, bad
Re-write, re-work
Over and over
NO!
That’s not it
Just leave it
It’s perfect
You’re perfect
YOU HAVE IT
Look inside
Silence
PEACE
PEACE OF MIND

Human suffering and pain
Feels like a deluge of rain
It sometimes breaks my heart
That the world can appear so dark
Anger, rage, outbursts
I speak my voice, what a first
Oh joy, oh sorrow
May we love in the morrow
Help wipe away my tears
To sooth and calm my fears
I want to see the beauty and the peace
Flowing inside
So hold my hand
And guide me through
So that I can share with you.

We are all afraid

We’re all afraid of each other,
Afraid of the secrets
We’ll discover

So we hide,
Alone into the night.
Become brave,
Explore and
Release our frights.

I have found
The joy within
See the beauty
That hid therein.

So off I said
Into the night
And say good-bye
And now take flight.
